A routine evening of grilling on the balcony turned into a catastrophic situation when a tenant accidentally lit a historic, Plant City apartment building on fire.
This four-unit apartment building garnered extensive fire and smoke damage — requiring that almost all of the interior space be gutted.
Due to the historic status of the building, the City of Plant City had a vested interest in the renovation plans.
The 1920s-era structure was severely compromised from fire damage and general wear and tear. Mold was discovered throughout the building - presenting additional complications to an already extensive project.
Green Construction Services began by directing the permitting process to ensure all permits were correctly submitted and obtained. A total restoration of the 1920s era historic structure followed. The building was gutted and new electrical was installed, as well as a new AC system. Green addressed all outdated code violations and completely restored the interior and exterior of the structure while maintaining the building’s historical integrity.
