Title: Senior Insurance Restoration Estimator
Reports to: Insurance Restoration Sales Manager
Hours: Full Time
Primary Purpose:
Green Construction Services specializes in commercial and residential insurance restoration. GCS exists to bring peace of mind and a sense of relief to our clients. Our projects include custom remodeling jobs as well as fire, flood, storm restoration and mold remediation. The primary purpose of this role is to support sales efforts by moving clients through the sales process and to generate confidence in our team. We want our production team to begin the project with an already-satisfied client.
Position Overview
The restoration estimator supports and reports to a restoration sales manager and is responsible to complete the sales process for signed projects. This includes obtaining pertinent bids from vendors and subcontractors, creating a detailed Xactimate estimate, negotiating with insurance carriers for scope and valuation, and keeping the client informed every step of the way. On occasion, the estimator may handle the initial sales call for smaller projects.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Take over a project once a sales manager secures a signed contract from a customer.
Occasionally, may handle initial sales meeting to secure a signed contract from the client.
Maintain weekly communication with the client.
Expected to keep all pertinent information in CRM updated
Obtain bids/pricing from subcontractors and suppliers for the project, as necessary.
Create a written estimate in Xactimate format following company guidelines and policies
Submit estimate to the client’s insurance company and provide adequate documentation for scope to justify payment
After the insurance estimate is agreed upon and funds are secured, meet with the customer to walk through scope, pricing and project details. (Our selections coordinator will work with the client to finalize selections within the budget at a later date.)
After the project is scoped, designed and priced, prepare a written budget and present it to the client in a reasonable time frame (typically within 5 -7 days).
Finalize the sales process by introducing the client to their GCS Project Manager. Schedule an on-site meeting to walk through the project with the client and the project manager. Take this opportunity to reiterate, and if necessary to clarify, the project scope, logistics and timing.
Responsible for the oversight and performance of junior insurance estimators
