Title: Claims Assistant  

Reports to: Insurance Restoration Sales Manager

Position Summary / Purpose

Provide support to management in the orchestration of administrative functions.

Assist in the increase of cashflow by the consistent and accurate follow up on negotiated and agreed upon insurance claims. Provide exceptional customer service through accurate reporting and documentation updates in various insurance communication platforms. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure GCS stays in compliance on various insurance carrier platforms

  • Consistent weekly follow up on restoration & mitigation billing

  • Accurate data entry in company CRM

  • Accurate data entry in carrier and partner platforms

  • Keep company spreadsheet updated with accurate information

  • Weekly follow up on all referral fees to various partners

  • Ensure accounting has all restoration & mitigation contract numbers

  • Write and submit change orders to accounting when claims are settled

  • Consistent and accurate communication with accounting department

  • Ensure restoration projects move efficiently through the sales cycle

  • Perform job costing for mitigation projects

  • Regular follow up with carrier partnerships to ensure strong relationships

  • Complete inner-office documentation

  • Regularly update clients on status of current claim

Working Relationships and Scope

  • Maintain timely communication and flow of information with sales, estimators, production, marketing and accounting

Working Conditions

  • The work of this position is predominantly carried out in an office environment. Daily exposure to the shop where vehicles and equipment are housed and maintained is expected.
